  • S.A.T score of 1460
  • Governor's School for Science, Mathematics, and Technology (Lynchburg College, Summer 2001) - Four-week summer residential program for 200 selected rising high school juniors and seniors throughout Virginia. Candidates are nominated by each School Division and selected by the Virginia Department of Education.
  • Bausch and Lomb Award - Presented to the Junior who has achieved the highest cumulative grade in science courses and selected by highschool faculty (Spring 2001).

  • Participant in the Yorktown Band, which is a Virginia Honors Band (2002) receiving a Superior (2001) in the District Band Festival and Superior (2000) at the Marching Band Festival.
  • Attended Virginia Junior Academy of Science (VJAS) in Spring 2001.
  • Participated in the 2001 Northern Virginia Regional Science Fair, earning first place in the Chemistry, obtaining 3 Society awards, and selected to participate in the Virginia State Science Fair.
  • Is a member of the National Honor Society (NHS).

College Choices

This is the time to apply to colleges. It is always hard to decide where to apply with so many good colleges and universities in Virginia. Jason has visited these colleges and is busy completing the applications for each. Only time will tell to which one he will be admitted in April 2002 and the one he will choose by May 2002.
